2017 Travel Destinations

Formulating our travel plans for 2017 seemed to be a bit of a slow starter this year, it wasn't until mid-April that we finally had things booked in to look forward to! I both love and hate travel planning, it’s so exciting to find new places to visit but it can definitely be a difficult experience trying to get the best deal and coordinate it properly. Without further ado here’s what made our list of top destinations to travel to in 2017!

May – London, England
This month (this coming weekend in fact!) we’re heading down to our capital city, we love city breaks and London always has so many exciting things to do. The main reason for our trip is to watch Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre, whilst we’re there though we also have a few other plans including; visiting the Sky Garden, joining a Harry Potter Walking tour and enjoying some fancy cocktails.

June – Corralejo, Fuerteventura
This holiday is purely about relaxation, we always like to have an easy beach holiday to go on where we can just lounge - and play bat and ball, our favourite beach activity! We've chosen to go to Fuerteventura this year as we've never been before, the sand dunes look beautiful and it was an absolute bargain – Thank you Thomas Cook!

July – Porto, Portugal
Sorry James this is a girls only holiday! I’ll be heading to Portugal’s second largest city for a short weekend break. We’ll be hitting up the tourist hotspots around the city including browsing Lello Bookshop, walking over the Dom Luis I Bridge and enjoying some port tasting sessions in the wine cellars – yum!

September – Barcelona, Spain
We've both had Barcelona high up on our destination wish list for quite some time now and after we found such a bargain of a beach holiday we thought it was high time we finally booked a trip to Barcelona! We’ll be staying in the Gothic Quarter and already have loads of items on the itinerary that we can’t wait to go and experience!

December – Dubai, UAE & New Zealand
I'm sure there are easier (and cheaper!) ways to beat the winter blues but with family currently working out in NZ what better a time to visit than Christmas? These are the plans that are yet to be finalised but we're hoping to fly out for a few days to Dubai and then continue on to New Zealand - let's hope we can go!

It’s going to be an exciting year of travel! We’ll be posting our experiences from each of the destinations we visit and offering tips on how to make the most of your there.

Where is on top of your 2017 travel list? Do you have any tips for the places we're visiting?
